Ludmila Malard, Business Analyst, joined the company seven years ago. She started in the cash collection team in Brazil but quickly moved into the billing team. With each passing year, Ludmila’s scope and responsibilities widened: from being a billing specialist for Brazil, then for the LATAM region, and now for the whole Americas market unit.
As Business Analyst, Ludmila takes care of new clients in the billing system, making sure everything is in order. But her job doesn’t end here. Ludmila runs reports to make sure everything is billed correctly. She is also in charge of the invoices’ analysis and posting. Finally, she is responsible for the billing closing for Brazil, Colombia and Mexico.
We had a chat with her to discover what motivates her and what she likes most about working in the company.
Q. What’s helped you most on your career journey at the Cloud Communications division of NTT?
I would say my managers because I’ve always had a lot of help from them. But help has also come from the ease of contacting colleagues here in the Cloud Communications division, whether a director or an intern. I think asking for help from my colleagues – whether in my area or outside – has made me grow professionally within the company. Thanks to them, I have learned a lot.
Q. In your video, you talk about the company’s constant evolution. Does this impact your way of working?
I don’t think our evolution changes my own way of working that much. Coming from a start-up in a previous job, I already had to shape the way I work, like I wanted. It’s important to not just look into a micro-environment, but a macro environment. I also need to be very organized and try to always have an open mind.
Q. You’ve been in the company for seven years. You must have made some good memories during this time. Please share one with us!
I have excellent memories of all the Kickoffs in LATAM and the Global Management Meetings. But I really felt very happy when I received a TIDE award in Orlando in 2019. It was nice to be recognized for my work and to be with lots of colleagues in the Americas region, face to face, at the same time in an amazing place.
Q. You’re also part of our Values Ambassadors program. Can you tell us more about that – and your role?
We pretty much organize monthly happy hours and other social activities for the Brazil office. Since I’ve started working here, I can see how important it is for everyone, especially during this pandemic. It’s nice and important to maintain this fun connection with everyone.
Q. Tell us more about your motivation. What gets you out of bed in the morning?
Knowing that I have a good job, with an awesome team and a great manager is a strong motivator for me. I also know that this job provides me the comfort I need for my personal life and is the right balance between personal and professional.
