At the beginning of 2020, Fiona Ho started her career at the Cloud Communications division of NTT as Content Marketing & Campaigns Manager for the APAC region.
She oversees all marketing-related content initiatives. It includes product launches, new offerings, campaigns, webinars and efforts to increase web traffic and brand awareness.
One year in, we decided to chat with Fiona to discover what her experience has been like and what she expects for the future with us.
Q. What does it take to be successful in your role?
For me, some of the key ingredients to success in any role would be having the ability to adapt to a constantly changing world, having the flexibility to navigate and accommodate these changes, and finally the resourcefulness and drive to stay relevant and ahead of the curve.
Q. What is on your wish list for the year ahead with the company?
Greater opportunities to demonstrate my drive, commitment, and leadership capabilities.
Q. According to your LinkedIn, you’ve had many different jobs. What is/are the career lesson(s) you’ve learned so far?
Your network is your net worth. In my experience, networking has helped me get hired and grow my career, and I think it’s truly one of the best resources for career development and professional success.
Q. Can you tell us more about the ‘Two Fit’ project?
It was something I did in my past life as a Health and Fitness journalist. I am also a certified personal trainer with the American Council on Exercise (ACE). ‘Two Fit’ was a fitness column that I had (with a former colleague, hence the name ‘Two Fit’) on a national English daily to share fitness tips and strategies with the public. The column ran for nearly six years.
Q. Last question to learn a bit more about your personality: if you could be someone else for one day, who would you be?
I would like to be Steve Jobs for a day to understand the secrets of his success.
