We met with the unique APAC Office Administrator that is Correy to find out more about her, her role, and her win.
Q. Can you tell us more about your role as Regional Office Administrator for APAC?
There are various areas to my role. Regarding the ‘office’ side, I oversee the maintenance of the building in a clean and orderly manner. I am the point of contact with the landlord and office building management and I keep people up to date with office information. I also manage vendors and order office and pantry supplies. In addition, I’m also working on an APAC offices consolidation project. Regarding the ‘people’ side, I oversee organizing Happy Hour Events. It’s the role of the Values Ambassadors around the world – including myself – to organize monthly events in all the offices. I also help in townhall preparation, manage the APAC Long Service Awards and prepare the HR Onboarding and Offboarding logistics.
Q. You were described by your colleagues as someone caring and supportive, always ready to give advice and guide them. What motivates you to have this behaviour?
I think it’s because I’m a ‘people person’. I care about others. Hence, I want to know how they are doing or coping, and I’m always here to offer some advice or encouragement when needed.
Q. Why do you think ‘office cheer’ is so important?
Office cheer is essential since we spend long hours in the office. It’s important to cultivate a caring and happy office culture with a clean and ordered environment to help people feel at ease when they come into the office.
Q. What do you like the most in your job and this company?
What I like the most in my job is keeping the office a great place for colleagues to work! I love that the Cloud Communications division of NTT is a people-centric company, where we respect and treat others equally.
