Arkadin is now operating as the Cloud Communications division of NTT Ltd. Together we do great things

Brandon Filipello’s career, the forever smiling IT Engineer

For five years now, Brandon Filipello has been working at the Cloud Communications division of NTT as IT Engineer. Covering a broad-spectrum of IT issues for the Americas region, Brandon usually starts his day by replying to emails or messages and checking the Salesforce queue to prioritize the different cases. When he’s not working on cases, he’s working on other IT projects.

Brandon has been helping his colleagues with their IT issues and requests since he joined and it has earned him many praises, including a Go the Extra Mile nomination in April 2021.

We decided to catch up with him to know a bit more about him and his motivation.

Q. What made you want to join the Cloud Communications division of NTT five years ago?

I joined the company because I thought it was a fantastic opportunity to work with some great people and start my career in IT. Nowadays, I think I’m fortunate to have the job I do. I get to work with my friends, increase my knowledge, and focus on my career development.

Q. Can you tell us a bit more about your journey before joining the company?

I used to be a competitive strongman and karaoke DJ! Being on stage has always been one of my absolute favorite things to do. I love being able to entertain people and make them smile.

Q. In April 2021, you were selected as our Go the Extra Mile winner with your colleague Shoeb Zakiuddin. What was it for?

Shoeb and I always try to complete the IT requests quickly and accurately. We want to do our best to make sure our users are happy. I guess they are, as they nominated us! It was unexpected for me, so it was definitely exciting to have my colleague and I nominated together.

Q. When was your first meeting with a computer?

I touched my first computer when I was 5 years old by playing a PC game. Shortly after that, I started taking computers apart and getting in trouble with my parents. I was excited to try to learn as much as possible about computers.
