Arkadin is now operating as the Cloud Communications division of NTT Ltd. Together we do great things

Discover our three 2020 Values Winners: Daniel Andriolo, Amin Basri & Nicolas Belleville

In 2020 we launched our first ‘Go the Extra Mile’ program which allows employees and managers to recognize co-workers who have demonstrated extraordinary achievement, collaboration, innovation, etc. Throughout the year, you had the chance to discover the portraits of our twelve winners through monthly interviews.

Among those winners, our Senior Management Team selected our 2020 Values Winners, one for each of our core Values – Speed, Execute and Together. Join us in congratulating:

Daniel Andriolo, Amin Basri and Nicolas Belleville have demonstrated exemplary service and dedication in their respective areas of responsibility and more. We asked them to tell us more about this recognition and what it means for them.

Q. You were one of our monthly Go the Extra Mile winner last year, and now you’ve been nominated as one of our three Values winners for 2020. What a success! Can you tell us why you’ve won this new recognition?

Daniel: I´m very proud to be one of the 2020 Values winners, it means a lot to me. But no one wins alone. So, I would like to extend this recognition to the whole team who worked with me: Jean-Baptiste Roze, Juan Carlos Herrera, Cynthia Calles and Richard Stahulak. In the early days of WebEx Calling, we had to manage different types of challenges, client expectations and project delivery timeframe. I was able to quickly adapt thanks to my colleagues and my past experiences with Cisco.

Amin: The automation project I was involved in had never been done before for the Operations Centre. Especially for the Outage Notifications which is all the information we receive by email, chat and over the phone. There were no official Web Forms as a platform to collect the necessary information. Knowing that, my team and I proposed the idea to centralize Outage Notification requests and it was a big success.

Nicolas: When I won the award in the ‘Collaboration’ category one year ago, I had no clue that we were going to face such a challenging period. At some point, I had to realize the epidemic situation was not letting us go back to our previous life. The best thing I could do was to ‘get along with it’. Since then, I have been doing exactly what I used to do: collaborate with people as if we were in the office! For sure, having the right tools to do it within the company helps a lot!

Q. How did you find out that you won and what went through your mind at this very moment?

Daniel: The announcement took me completely by surprise during our last Monthly Business Update. Soon after, I started receiving congratulations messages saying it was well deserved. I’m very happy with this recognition and I hope to be able to contribute with others in the future!

Amin: It was a big shock! I never imagined I would win such a great recognition award. I believe that many talented employees in our organization should also be recognized because their work, time and passion are the key success of the company.

Nicolas: Emmanuel Allanos, our Chief Human Resources Officer, revealed the 2020 Values Winners during our last webcast. He first announced Daniel Andriolo and Amin Basri. I knew they deserved this recognition. I was guessing who could be the last one to be nominated, like Barry Harte or Maurizio Agnino – two colleagues that were awarded in 2020… And then I saw my picture! A few seconds after, my screen was covered with congratulations messages. I was overwhelmed, but I also felt very happy, although surprised.

Q. The ‘Speed’ Value highlight how we’re agile in our actions, making quick and informed decisions while actively learning. Have you always been curious and reactive in your life?

Daniel: As an IT solutions engineer, I need to adapt quickly to the technologies’ constant evolution. I was always interested in knowing the details of the solutions we use, and I always tried to learn the basic concepts of how they work. This helps me understand how the solutions apply within the client’s environment to be more agile in meeting expectations.

Q. The ‘Execute’ Value revolves around how we execute with excellence by delivering high performances and act with integrity. What have been driving you to be passionate and precise about your work?

Amin: I love to challenge my brain and push it until the limit. I like automation development and feel happy when people are using it daily. Besides that, I am not afraid to start over if I have failed because I won’t start from scratch but with the experience I learned thus far: ‘NotBadTryAgain’

Q. The ‘Together’ Value is all about people and how we are best when we work together. Why do you think putting people first and collaborating across boundaries is essential in a company like ours?

Nicolas: We have so many teams all over the world, working on very different topics. It is easy to get lost when you try to achieve a goal that implies different facets. That’s why I strongly believe in team spirit as a key to achieve greatness. Not only inside your team, but also with others to act as One Team.

Q. How do our culture and our NTT Values help you in your daily work?

Daniel: Regardless of the client’s need, I know that I will be able to find someone with specific knowledge to help me address it. Our ability to adapt to client demands and the way we structure ourselves to meet these needs make a difference in the market.

Amin: Having different cultures from all over the world give us a unique vibe, where everyone has their personality. Our values show us that we aren’t alone, and we respect each other even though we aren’t all in the same location.

Nicolas: The culture here is about working hard and collaborating with your global colleagues while having a great time. Besides, the company provides an environment where I can feel free to think and use my knowledge, which is the most important thing for me.

Q. What makes you proud to work for the Cloud Communications division of NTT Ltd.?

Daniel: I like to know that I’m part of a global team that is increasingly seeking to improve its way of serving its clients. My work is recognized, and my knowledge keeps growing. I’m very happy to be part of this team and I hope that we can improve even more with the unification of the entire NTT group.

Amin: I am proud to be part of the company because of its people and because it’s one of the leading companies in Cloud Communications services.

Nicolas: I like where we are now as an organization. We’ve been through many changes lately and it’s just the beginning of a long journey. However, we’re still helping our customers to connect, collaborate and succeed with their business goals. Almost every day I see people presenting their impressive achievements. This is what makes me feel so proud of working here: the countless top talented people we are lucky to have.
